Zahoransky To Debut Advanced Autoinjectors, Syringes Tooling
Automated, intelligent, compact designs seeking to maximize efficiency for high-volume medical applications will be on display at K 2025.
Zahoransky will highlight its medical moldmaking solutions at K 2025 in Düsseldorf, debuting its Z.SONIC turn mold concept and demonstrating its all-in-one PRIMA Z syringe production system.
Designed to meet increasing demand for reusable and disposable pen injectors, Z.SONIC molds will be used to mold autoinjectors at partner Netstal’s stand. “Innovative” cavity arrangements and external residual cooling can reduce cycle times by up to 20% — all with minimal space requirements and optimized energy consumption, according to Zahoransky.

At its own booth, the company will focus on its PRIMA Z syringe production system, which features a four-cavity mold and “is optimized for the highly cost-efficient production of staked needle syringes made of plastic,” as well as Luer and Luer-lock syringes. Fully integrated AI-powered tools from plus10 GmbH further enhance efficiency, the company says. For example, Hopper reduces scrap through situational parameter recommendations based on live process data, shortening ramp-up times and increasing transparency of validated injection molding processes, while shopfloor virtual assistant Shannon supports operators directly at the machine.
