Progressive Components will introduce the latest version of its ProFile unified platform, which combines asset management, real-time data and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting from its suite of monitoring products. At its most basic level, ProFile can be used as a tracking system to organize, maintain and locate global tools and equipment or interface with Progressive’s CVe Monitor for complete real-time monitoring, the company says.

As the injection molding industry continues to evolve and manufacturers demand greater efficiency, transparency and connectivity of their tooling management systems, ProFile v5 offers three enhancements for how manufacturers can monitor, manage and optimize their operations.

Instead of data silos and manual information transfers, ProFile v5 provides API connectivity between the injection mold management system and existing manufacturing infrastructure. This new capability includes data sharing between manufacturing execution systems (MES), enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms and other reporting tools.

The API integration eliminates the need for duplicate data entry while ensuring real-time synchronization across all connected systems. Production managers can now access mold utilization data directly within their ERP dashboards.

ProFile v5 also introduces intelligent mold health monitoring, which Progressive says transforms maintenance schedules into actionable insights by measuring current mold life against expected performance parameters. The system calculates each mold’s health status as a percentage, giving visibility into remaining useful life via color-coded indicators. With these indicators, green is optimal condition with plenty of remaining life; yellow means the asset is approaching maintenance intervals or showing indications of early wear; and red means the asset has reached a critical status requiring immediate attention or replacement consideration.

By proactively identifying molds that are approaching their service limits, manufacturers can schedule maintenance during planned downtime and ensure replacement tooling is ready when needed. This eliminates guesswork from maintenance planning and helps prevents unexpected downtime that can disrupt production.
