Molding Expert LLC to Debut Industry’s First VR Mold Assembly Training at PTXPO 2026
Immersive VR program allows participants to safely practice mold assembly and disassembly procedures in a highly realistic, interactive environment.
Designed to address long-standing challenges in mold handling, technical training and workforce development, the immersive VR program allows participants to safely practice mold assembly and disassembly procedures in a highly realistic, interactive environment. Users can engage with detailed 3D mold components and follow step-by-step processes without risking damage to actual tooling or equipment.
The training platform is intended for mold technicians, process engineers, maintenance personnel, and manufacturing managers seeking to improve safety and accelerate skill development. By combining real-world molding expertise with advanced VR technology, Molding Expert’s solution provides a scalable, repeatable training experience that is difficult to achieve with other approaches.
“Proper mold assembly is critical to part quality, cycle time, and tool longevity, yet hands-on training, mold assembly and disassembly opportunities are often limited by availability. Our VR training program removes those barriers by allowing users to learn, make mistakes and build confidence in a controlled virtual setting before ever touching a physical mold,” the company says.
Attendees at PTXPO 2026 will have the opportunity to listen to the presentation in the Tech Theater on Wednesday, March 18, from 1:00 – 1:30 pm. and learn how to integrate it into existing training programs for mold shops and injection molding operations of all sizes.
