Eric Hecker is a sales and project engineer for mold builder Eifel Inc. in Fraser, Michigan, and the current membership chair for the Society of Plastics Engineers, Mold Technologies Division (SPE MTD).
Here, I get the scoop on this third-generation leader, including his journey into moldmaking, what attracted him to this industry and his toughest challenge so far.
We also discuss his passion for molding (brought about by the technology in Eifel’s Nissei press) and the shop’s work with local schools and the shop’s training program.
Last but not least, he sheds a little light on his role at SPE MTD to help drive membership focused on the next generation of moldmakers.
