The American Mold Builders Association (AMBA) has opened registration for the AMBA Conference 2025, set for May 7-9, 2025, at the Amway Grand Plaza, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Nominations are also now being accepted for this year’s AMBA Mold Builder of the Year (MBOY), Tooling Trailblazer of the Year (TTOY) and Emerging Leaders Rising Star (RSOY) Awards. The deadline for award nominations is March 21, 2025.

The event brings together mold manufacturers and other industry professionals to connect with one another on a variety of hot-button topics and honor this year’s award winners. The conference theme, “Breakthrough Innovation,” is said to reflect the AMBA mission to help mold manufacturers overcome industry challenges and embrace new opportunities.

Conference organizers say innovation and growth will be explored through a variety of breakout sessions, workshops and peer networking activities that focus on strategies for profitability, continuous improvement and workforce development.

The Pre-Conference Session for Emerging Leaders is designed to equip future leaders with the strategies to develop mental resilience, overcome self-limiting beliefs, and enhance personal and professional goal achievement.

Keynote presentations by Emmy award-winner Bill Stainton and professional motorcycle racer Joe Roberts will provide actionable insights to inspire attendees to think differently and embrace new technologies. Additional keynotes will focus on navigating change in today’s global supply chain and preparing for economic challenges and opportunities in 2025 and beyond.

Introduced in 2024, The Emerging Leaders Rising Star Award (RSOY) will recognize an up-and-coming industry leader who demonstrates exceptional potential in leadership, innovation and dedication to the industry’s advancement. At the conference, this winner will receive a $500 endowment to be used toward professional development.

At the conference, winners of the AMBA MBOY and TTOY Awards will also be announced and recognized for their contributions to education, innovation and industry visibility, and will receive a $5,000 scholarship grant (sponsored by Progressive Components) to be applied toward an educational institution, project or initiative of their choice.

AMBA is dedicated to elevating the competitive advantage of U.S. mold builders by providing workforce development initiatives, networking, benchmarking opportunities and industry promotion. AMBA members receive a variety of additional benefits, including access to cost-reduction programs, visibility to mold buyers and problem-solving resources that are designed to give members a competitive advantage.
