Hot Runner System with Three-Platen Design Reduces Stack Height
Mold-Masters features its optimized PET-Series hot runner system. Its three-platen design can improve geometric thermal balancing and reduce plate bowing to enhance preform quality.
Mold-Masters Limited highlights its optimized design of its PET-Series hot runner system to reduce stack height to 260mm on systems with 72 cavities or less using standard components.
Traditionally, more compact stack heights required a two-platen design. However, the PET-Series maintains its three-platen design. Specifically for PET applications, the three-platen design can help to improve geometric thermal balancing and reduce plate bowing to enhance preform quality.
By offering a compact stack height, molders can run the system on a wider range of machines, including older generations that have stack height limitations of 260mm. Minimum nozzle pitch of the PET-Series is not affected and remains the same as regular three-plate designs.
Mold-Masters PET-Series is a hot runner system optimized for high-performance production of two-stage PET preforms. The PET-Series is said to enhance preform quality while increasing productivity. It’s compatible with any major brand of pet-preform mold and available in a wide range of industry standard configurations. Custom configurations are also available upon request.
