Meet Murphy Forsyth. As the general manager and a processing engineer for Zero Tolerance, a growing plastic injection tool shop in Clinton Township, Michigan, Murphy brings a dynamic mix of hands-on technical expertise and modern marketing savvy to the board.

Zero Tolerance enjoys testing the limits of what materials can do through design and years of experience in plastic injection molding to craft well-designed, premium quality, functional products for various industries.

The team has invested in the highest performance machinery and tooling along with a staff always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best quality of customer service.

Murphy’s journey into the world of moldmaking began in 2017 when she started working part-time in Zero Tolerance’s front office while also managing parks for the City of Rochester Hills. Despite knowing little about injection molding at the time, her curiosity and determination led her to learn the ins and outs of the shop floor. From creating social media content that grew to over 30,000 followers and generating millions of video views, to learning mold processing and running complex tryouts, Murphy has carved out an impressive role in the industry.

Her passion for education and workforce development is evident through her involvement with the Stevenson High School MADE program, where she helps students discover careers in manufacturing. Murphy also plays a key role in fostering relationships between the shop and students through capstone projects, school-to-work programs and job shadowing.

In addition to her work at Zero Tolerance, Murphy has immersed herself in the broader moldmaking community, attending industry events like NPE and IMTS, taking advanced training courses and contributing to initiatives like the Mold Making Academy that Zero Tolerance is developing with Makino.

As a member of our board, Murphy’s fresh perspective on social media marketing and her commitment to helping young people find their path in the trades will be invaluable. She is looking forward to sharing her insights and continuing to inspire the next generation of moldmakers.

When she’s not in the shop or behind a camera, you can find Murphy enjoying the outdoors — whether it’s shark fishing, kayaking or simply relaxing by a bonfire. Her energy and enthusiasm make her a perfect fit for our board!
