Descaling Systems Eradicate Debris in Cooling Passages and Water Lines
Distributed by PCS Company, Goodway portable descaling units remove scale, mineral, rust and grime from cooling passages and water lines, which can be within hot runner systems and injection or die cast molds.
PCS Company is now serving as a seller/distributor for Goodway heavy-duty, industrial portable descaling systems for mold maintenance, water line cleaning and general plant uses.
The Goodway GDS-C40 and larger GDS-C92 descaling units are made of heavy-duty polyethylene and acid-proof components. They are primarily targeted for use to remove scale, mineral, rust and grime from cooling passages and water lines, which can be within hot runner systems and injection or die cast molds. The units can also be utilized for general plant use in exchangers, boiler tubes, chiller tubes and more.
The systems feature clean in place (CIP) technology to materials from HVAC and process manufacturing equipment without pulling machines apart. The company says the descaling systems are easy to use and save downtime, labor costs and maintenance issues.
Both units feature a Flow Reversal Valve which eliminates the “barrier effect” that occurs when lime scale dissolves, creating foam and gas that impede scale reduction. These units enable foam and gas to discharge into descaling tanks for optimum performance.
The GDS-C40 has a 15 gallon-per-minute flow rate and 10-gallon reservoir, making it well suited for small applications such as oil coolers and heat exchangers. The GDS-C92 features 21 gallon-per-minute flow rate and 15-gallon reservoir, which is suited for larger boilers, chillers and heat exchangers.
These scale-removal systems use biodegradable ScaleBreak industrial descaling solutions, which are safe to use on steel, iron, brass, copper, plastic and rubber. The ScaleBreak MP is an all-purpose descaler for dissolving hard limestone deposits and other mineral deposits. The ScaleBreak-SS contains no hydrochloric acid, which provides safe, prolonged exposure to stainless steel and eliminates potential hydrogen embrittlement.
