Camera-Assisted Laser System Verifies Quality Part Marking for Plastics, Moldmaking
The Foba M-Series laser marking workstations ensure almost error-free, economical direct part identification and reliable product traceability for automotive, tool and moldmaking, medical, plastic parts and more.
Foba Laser Marking + Engraving present its M-Series laser marking workstations. The camera-assisted laser marking solutions are specifically suited to mark high-quality unique device identifiers (UDI) on medical devices. However, they also have application purposes for marking plastic parts at the end of the production cycle; engraving in the mold to create marks on the produced part; marking in order to identify/tag the mold; and more.
Laser marks on a part help identify the part throughout its entire product life cycle, Foba notes, in addition to decoration, the prevention of forgery, branding, etc. Through a three-step marking process, Foba’s laser-integrated visual inspection ensures almost error-free, economical direct part identification and reliable product traceability via the application of high-contrast, durable marks, while achieving zero waste and maximum efficiency.
Generally, the M-Series can be a standalone laser marking workstation or a laser system which is being integrated into a production facility. It consists of advanced manually loaded laser marking workstations for the precise and economic processing of small, large and geometrically complex workpieces as well as small and large batches of parts. The M-Series is available in two sizes (M2000, M3000) and three model options each (B: with worktable, R: with turntable, P: with axes X/Y/Z). Advanced fiber and UV laser markers are available for integration as well as fully integrated vision inspection solutions.
